Business Development

DFB has enjoyed a history of successful partnerships, which has led to many of our leading brands and services. Today, about half of our revenue is derived from marketed compounds or services as a result of either acquisition or partnership.  In addition to our internal efforts, a significant percentage of our Research and Development budget is directed toward commercial development of compounds from outside inventors and companies.

Our partnership efforts are vital to DFB's long-term growth strategy in skin and soft tissue.  Senior management involvement from the start leads to collaborations that are mutually beneficial to all parties.  We make it a priority to perform rapid evaluation of partnership opportunities, beginning with an idea submission that our senior management quickly reviews for strategic fit.  Subsequently, evaluation teams are formed and deployed, a negotiator is assigned, and New Business Development manages the process to completion.

Our goal is to be at the forefront of specialty pharmaceuticals and contract services targeting skin and soft tissue applications.  DFB is actively seeking partners with new therapeutic leads, drug targets, commercial and near-to-commercial brands and contract services that complement our ongoing internal research and development efforts.
